Outcome: Improved Population Health, Well-Being, and Equity
In a Culture of Health, people thrive physically, mentally, and socially throughout their lives.
A Culture of Health is intended to support a trajectory of well-being throughout the lifespan, addressing any health issues as early as possible. The notion of “perfect health” is not the goal so much as ensuring that everyone has the capacity and opportunity to live as healthy a life as possible.
When we make progress toward Making Health a Shared Value; Fostering Cross-Sector Collaboration; Creating Healthier, More Equitable Communities; and Strengthening Integration between Health Services and Systems, we believe that our nation’s health will improve substantially. These Outcomes Areas and Measures will help us to track long-term improvements while encouraging a broader definition of health.
